Seinfeld was a syndication network sitcom starring comedian Jerry Seinfeld (who also created the show along with Larry David) in the title role.

It premiered on July 5, 1989 under the title "The Seinfeld Chronicles" and was originally offered to the FOX network, but Syndication picked up the series and it was later renamed "Seinfeld."

After 9 seasons and 180 episodes, "Seinfeld" came to an end on May 14, 1998.

It was awarded the Emmy for "Outstanding Comedy Series" in 1993, Golden Globe Award for "Best TV-Series (Comedy)" in 1994 and Screen Actors Guild Award for "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series" in 1995, 1997 and 1998.
